Ten days without chili in UK / London left my tongue and stomach and body so miserable... After arriving in Changi Airport yesterday, I told Dad "PLEASE BRING ME TO DAMSEY ROAD FOR INDIAN FOOD. LITTLE INDIA ALSO CAN." "So late already, no more la. Chompchomp?" "OKAY!" Off we went. Here are the items this starved little girl ordered. "Uncle, one oyster hokkien mee, put alot of chili, I want the $8 one for sharing" "Chili at the side or what?" "No. Cook the chili into the hokkien mee then give me one big big scoop of sambal at the side. Thanks" --- "Uncle, I want satay, mutton 5 chicken 5 and 1 ketupat" "Okay" --- "Auntie, give me one stingray, put ALOT of chili and pepper and sambal belachan." "Okay" --- "Uncle, one prawn noodle soup one" "Okay" ( This is penang prawn noodles so the soup is spicy ) --- "Uncle I want sugarcane juice plus lemon" AND THEN, I ATE THE WHOLE GIANT PORTION OF HOKKIEN MEE, AND THE STINGRAY, AND THE PRAWN NOODLES, AND THE SATAY AND THE SUGARCANE JUICE. I sweated like hell and kept on blowing my nose. SHIOK! Then this morning I woke up and went to Old Airport Road for fishball meepok dry ( uncle please put more chili ) and almond paste with white fungus and ahbaoling with ginger soup and yam paste with ginko nuts. LOCAL FOOD IS THE BEST MAN. Even though I got diarhhoea today, I do not regret stuffing myself, not one bit. Current cravings: Peanut and sesame yin yang paste Szechuan mala steamboat Chngtng Jia Jia herbal liang teh Roti prata and all other indian food. Kimchi Laksa Curry chicken nooooodles Fishhead steamboat Red bean soup Barley ginko Spicyyyyy black bean fish Thai food Shhhhhhhhhhh_ _ iiiiiiiiiii _ Okayyyyyyyyy I will blog a really really long post about UK / London another day. The food there starved me okay, it didn't taste that great and everything was expensive as hell. Absolutely no chili to be found anywhere, trying to kill this Asian girl? But other than that, THE TRIP WAS AWESOME!!! Love the stuff and sights there. Truly wonderful. |
